Payable under OD. For engine / gearbox internal damage, the surveyor MUST check whether Engine Protection add-on is in force — plain OD does not pay for internal hydro-static damage. CRITICAL: if the vehicle was re-started after water ingress, the consequential damage is NOT payable (standard exclusion). Collect — Met Dept rainfall data for the date, local civic circular / FIR / panchayat note for inundation level, waterline marks on the dashboard / seat / door-trim as photos, and the odometer reading at tow.
