Digitaliiisla Technologies Private Limited

Digitaliiisla Technologies Private Limited (“Company”) recognises that the personal, professional, licensing, contact, survey, and other information relating to surveyors using its platform is confidential and requires appropriate protection.

The Company hereby confirms and commits that:

  1. No Sale or Commercial Exploitation The Company shall not sell, rent, trade, monetise, or commercially exploit the personal or professional data of surveyors registered with or using the Digitaliiisla platform.
  2. No Unauthorised Sharing The Company shall not disclose, transfer, or share surveyor data with any third party for purposes unrelated to the operation and legitimate functioning of its services, unless authorised by the surveyor, required under a contractual arrangement, or required or permitted by applicable law.
  3. Purpose-Limited Use Surveyor data shall be used only for legitimate business and operational purposes connected with the Digitaliiisla platform, including survey allocation, survey management, communication, authentication, reporting, compliance, billing, support, security, and related services.
  4. Insurance Companies and Clients Where surveyor information is required to facilitate survey allocation, claim processing, reporting, verification, communication, or other legitimate insurance-related activities, the Company may provide only such information as is reasonably necessary for that purpose and in accordance with applicable contractual and legal requirements.
  5. Data Security The Company shall implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — including encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access controls, continuous monitoring, and incident response protocols — to protect surveyor data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, or destruction. (See our Security Statement for the full technical & organisational measures.)
  6. Service Providers and Sub-Processors Where third-party technology or service providers are engaged for hosting, storage, communication, authentication, security, analytics, or other necessary functions, access to surveyor data shall be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant service and shall be subject to appropriate contractual and confidentiality obligations. Our current sub-processors are published and kept current at /legal/subprocessors, with 14 days’ notice before any addition.
  7. Regulatory and Legal Requirements Nothing in this commitment shall prevent the Company from disclosing information where such disclosure is required by applicable law, court order, regulatory authority (including IRDAI, the Data Protection Board of India, CERT-In, and lawful enforcement agencies), statutory obligation, or other lawful requirement.
  8. Accountability The Company shall maintain appropriate internal controls and records concerning the handling of surveyor data and shall take reasonable steps to ensure that persons and service providers authorised to access such data comply with applicable confidentiality and data-protection requirements. Grievances may be raised with the Grievance Officer (acknowledgement within 72 hours; substantive resolution within 30 days).
  9. Your Responsibility Outside Our Platform The commitments above cover data WHILE it is on DigiSurvey. Once you (the surveyor) download, print, email, or link-share a report, photograph, or data file, the chain of custody passes to you. You remain the Data Fiduciary for the onward handling under DPDPA 2023 and your professional obligations under IRDAI Regulations 2015, and the Company is not responsible for your post-delivery sharing decisions.
Company Commitment Digitaliiisla Technologies Private Limited’s fundamental position is that surveyor data is not a product for sale and shall not be treated as a source of commercial data monetisation. The Company’s platform is intended to use such information only for legitimate operational, contractual, service-delivery, security, compliance, and legally permissible purposes.
This commitment may be provided to insurance companies, surveyors, enterprise customers, service providers, auditors, and other relevant stakeholders as evidence of the Company’s data-protection principles and practices. It is cross-referenced in our Privacy Policy, Data Processing Agreement (Clause 7), and Zero-Commercial-Use Pledge, and may be enforced before the courts at Jaipur / Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, India.
